What fun we have had this month following a science and space theme. The children were so excited to make their own DIY lava lamps using coloured water, oil and vitamin C tablets- they made the most amazing red bubbles with some even spilling over the top of the jars! Using the same vitamin tablets we blasted some fizzy rockets outside and they went really high.When the sun put his hat on we were able to draw around our shadows and watch how they changed getting longer and shorter as the sun moved throughout the day.We made the most of our old recycling and did some junk modelling. The children were so creative and all made something completely different!We learnt lots of numbers by singing songs and ordering our number rockets. The children were able to work together and tell the story of Aliens Love Underpants using puppets.
