April

This month we had a garden theme so had lots of fun learning all about bugs and nature. We made the most of some nicer weather and headed out on forest walks where we collected sticks and pine cones to make our very own bug hotels to take home. After going on a bug hunt we decided to make our own mini beasts using toilet rolls. We made lady birds, bees, dragonflies and butterfly’s! Chloe brought a wormery around for us to watch the wriggly worms making tunnels. We also planted some sunflower seeds which have grown really high and are starting to flower now.We were very lucky and went to a local bluebell woods where we loved seeing the carpet of bluebells across the forest floor. We finished the month with some Easter arts and crafts and a very fun Easter egg hunt in the garden.
